Attention deficit and hyperactivity disorders are commonly treated with drugs. Most commonly prescription drugs are used to treat these disorders. These side effects most commonly occur during the adaptation period and stop once the body adapts to it. This medication has been known to be addictive when taken for a long time and must be reduced slowly and not stopped quickly.

Even though this drug has been used for several years for ADHD it needs to be taken under the supervision of a doctor and only stopped with a doctor’s recommendation. The ritalin pills are taken orally or they can be crushed for those who cannot swallow pills. Always check with your doctor before taking any medication.
